I was testing a custom font, using only the default phrase that comes with the script: "Gimp Chat Is Awesome"

I tried to manually create a kerning for the letters AW, WA and AT but when I checked the result via the Custom font script nothing changed.
I spent a few good minutes trying to find where I was going wrong.

Why wasn't my Kerning working?

I tried with the 'Custom Font On Path' plugin, and kerning worked perfectly.

Summing up:

The script doesn't stop or generate an error when the custom font is all caps lock but the text is typed in lowercase.
But he also doesn't recognize the kerning in those cases.

Of course, from now on I will type everything in caps lock.

In any case, there are times when I copy and paste the text ...

If any correction in the script were possible in this regard, it would be very welcome!

Gimp Chat is Awesome has upper and lowercase, so if you defined kerning that are upper case then maybe that's why it's confused.
The logic might be different for "Custom Font On Path". That's a cleaner .py code.
The Custom Font was done in scheme and had a lot of revisions so the code is extremely dirty to work with.
