I wanted to update Pat's Paragrapher in order to add a simple indent to, for example, use with rhymes etc. I have also taken the opportunity to add an optional basic drop shadow effect. I have also fixed a couple of little gremlins that crept out of the gimpwork.

Following on a conversation with GJL: Tested on Gimp 2.10.12 and SamJ Portable 2.10.18 but may not work with other versions downloaded from gimp.org

Download and install into your plug-ins user folder as per usual.

The new dialog (indent options in red box/ drop shadow options in green box):

Drop shadow examples below without indents and then with a 2 space new paragraph indent:

I am trying to use Paragrapher V004. However, as soon as it starts to run It stops and I get the error "choose a custom font before running script". I did insert the font before I ran the plug-in. Currently I am using a Toshiba laptop 64 bit with Gimp Samj 2.10.23.

I have also tried Tin's Legacy to 2.10 script in case the font was an older one I made and that did not help either. I have made sure I had the right path to the font and it shows in the dialog window. I ran out of ideas as to what to do next. HELP!!!!!

Hi Pat:

Suggest you update to the latest version from Custom Font Tools Release 12.
Latest version is V009.
Runs ok on my SamJ portable 2.10.23.

Thank you so much for the information. I obviously missed many updates. I found that the problem was not the 004 version. I tried several other scripts and they ran without a problem. The file looks OK but must be corrupted. I downloaded the latest of your updates but have not time to use it. Will soon.
